Supply Teacher Your new company As an experienced/qualified Teaching Assistant working on a supply basis through Hays, you will benefit from working on a full or part time basis to suit your needs and work life balance. Hays Education work with a variety of Secondary Schools across Birmingham and Sandwell. Your new role You will be required to work across all ages (KS3-KS5) on a full or part-time basis. Ideally you will be available to work between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm and have access to either your own or public transport. The ideal Teaching Assistant will be flexible in their approach to working with children and have a good understanding of the curriculum. Depending on the needs of the Secondary Schools, you will be required to work on a day to day or long-term basis, there are also permanent opportunities available should you prefer. What you'll need to succeed To be a successful Teaching Assistant you must have recent experience working within a Secondary setting. It is essential for you to have worked with all age groups from KS3-KS5. Ideally you will have experience with planning, report writing and creating learning journals. You must be flexible and be willing to work between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm. Ideally you will have a qualification, either a Level 2 or Level 3 +, although a vast amount of experience will also suffice. Training such as Team Teach training is also beneficial. You must have a lively, bubbly personality and have excellent communication skills. Above all, you must be passionate about working with children and helping them to develop.
