1:1 Teaching Assistant Working in a school environment where no two days are the same is an ultimately rewarding challenge like no other. We are currently looking to appoint a 1:1 teaching assistant for a Primary school on the outskirts of Central Cambridge. You will be supporting a child in nursery 1:1, on a part time basis starting as soon as possible. The requirements are for 5 mornings per week, with the opportunity for Monday and Friday to be full days, for the right applicant. The role will be until at least the end of the Autumn term, with the view to extend dependent on need. Experience of working with children, especially supporting pupils with SEN would be advantageous but is not essential. The role calls for someone who is punctual, likes to get their personality stuck into their day to day job and takes on responsibility with a can-do attitude and a smile on their face! The role will consist of the following duties: Building a relationship with the child you are working with, and supporting them to ensure they transition as smoothly as possible into Primary life There may be an element of personal care required for this role, if you do not have experience with this, training will be provided Providing a safe and enabling environment for the pupil to thrive in Working with the class teacher and SENCo where necessary You will get access to our CPD academy where you can complete all the basics like Safeguarding in schools, and download learning materials for free.
