To provide high quality care and early years education for children, Keeping within the EYFS and Safeguarding standards at all times. Being enthusiastic and passionate about delivering the very best care for young children. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Providing high quality care and activities for children that recognises both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. • Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self expression, and learning through play. • Being a key person system and be responsible for a group of children. Monitor, assess, record and report on their development and progress. • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for guidance in your practice with the children. • Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that parents are their children s first educators and primary attachment. • Be aware of child protection issues and follow the nursery s Safeguarding Children policy and procedures. • Prepare and serve, milk, drink and snacks to children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating. • Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with potty training and other associated welfare duties. • Carry out on-going cleanliness of the nursery. • Set up the environment influenced by planning to support the needs of key children. Ensure key children s files are kept up to date with planning for their individual needs, with observations and photographic evidence. •Demonstrate a commitment to and carry out duties with regard to our nursery pedagogy
