We are currently working with a market leader based in Cheltenham who due to continued growth are looking to bring in a IT Procurement Manager into a newly created role. This is a great opportunity for an experience IT Procurement Manager to work closely with senior leaders in IT to develop a successful procurement strategy. Key Accountabilities Own and manage the relationship of key IT vendors ensuring the provision of services aligns to their contractual obligations. Management of staff members ensuring training, development plan, 1:1s and objective setting is completed regularly. Own and report against license and procurement cost codes showing savings from driving efficiency Own and lead the Global Licence Provision process, working with Group IT teams and Global IT leads to ensure that requests are fulfilled correctly. Own, define and develop the Group IT Procurement process. Ensuring compliance of all licences across the Group with alignment to financial plan. Pro-active management of licenced software to ensure End of Life (EOL) management is communicated and actively governed. Key Responsibilities Understand IT vendor spending by category, cost centre, region, and vendor. Negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and service level agreements with key vendors. Classify, rationalise, and optimize the vendor portfolio, and concentrate efforts on managing the most strategic vendors. Identify and execute value opportunities with key vendor relationships. Proactively identify and manage service and process improvement opportunities. Direct and manage software product contracts from beginning to end, including procurement, development, service control, and consultants. Compile and maintain inventory of company software and system assets for the purpose of tracking their corresponding licenses. Monitor licenses for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including follow-up checks for corrective action Conceive, develop, and deliver techniques, practices, and procedures for licensing administration in a manner that best protects company interests. Relevant Experience / Skills Direct work experience with software licensing, hardware procurement, and offshore agreements in a purchasing or procurement capacity. Experience of providing Service within an organisation greater than 1000 geographically dispersed employees. Expert in deploying and managing Software Asset/Licence Management solutions. Experience managing core IT vendor relationships ensuring ROI is captured Experience in the creation of procurement policies, processes and standards for a global organisation Able to lead IT Procurement into a state of maturity in the business Relevant industry Software Licencing certification or AAT Certified. ITIL Foundation desired Demonstrable financial awareness and commercial acumen. What will you get?
