The role of the Finance Analyst is to support the Head of FP&A in building and maintaining a strong reporting suite that helps the business understand performance, key risks and opportunities as well as supporting the consolidation and preparation of forecasting and budgeting exercises. Main Responsibilities Managing, building and improving performance reporting to help the business understand performance, risks and opportunities Assisting the Head of FP&A with their commercially focused analysis through the provision of reliable and robust ad-hoc data Preparing, reviewing and distributing the monthly MI pack, including supporting schedules and analysis Assisting with the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes, including the efficient consolidation of inputs and clear analysis of drivers of future performance Supporting the Head of FP&A in delivering financial and non-financial presentations that provide a clear and consistent message for Inchcape UK Becoming a reporting system super-user (SAP-BPC), building detailed knowledge and skills to assist in the further development of this software To fully embrace and assist with systems development in the UK Finance team that will radically improve the speed and efficiency of reporting, and allow for greater analysis To build strong working relationships with the wider Finance and Operational teams and drive best practice performance, and to liaise closely with the PLC finance functionThe Ideal Candidate Prior experience working within a Finance Analyst role or similar Excellent numerical and analytical skills Excellent written communication skills Inquisitive mindset with the desire to learn new skills and develop yourself High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to assimilate large amounts of complex, ambiguous and sometimes conflicting information in order to draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations Strong Excel skills including utilising Excel tools to improve and build models, pivot tables and report writing Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment, able to prioritise workload and manage the expectations of the stakeholders Deadline-oriented and execution focused Ability to achieve objectives in the face of resistance and ambiguity, whilst maintaining strong relationships About The CompanyBenefits You will receive a competitive base salary along with great benefits including: 22 days holiday, rising to 25 after 5 years service Company Pension Scheme Life Assurance Discount gym membership Vehicle purchase discount Employee Advantage retail discounts with over 3000 retailers Cycle to work scheme About Us Inchcape is a leading independent global automotive distributor and retailer.
