Mental Health Enabling Independence Services: Enabling Independence Worker Roles

There are exciting opportunities for a range of Enabling Independence Worker roles within Mental Health Recovery due to the development of new services.

We are currently looking to recruit team workers to be a part of our Mental Health Enabling Independence offer; this is a team that seeks to support people struggling with their mental health and/or substance misuse needs. We adopt a strengths based approach, with the person at the centre, to focus on supporting people to become more independent.

You will need to have a good understanding of mental health and/or substance misuse needs and demonstrate experience of working within this area.

It is also essential that you have a valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for the performance of the role. You will benefit from a wide variety of training and development opportunities, regular supervision, essential business mileage, flexible benefit options and the support of a friendly team; passionate about the work they undertake.

There are currently Enabling Independence Team Worker positions available based at the following locations:

  • Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, GU2 4BB (Permanent positions)
  • Quadrant Court, 35 Guildford Road, Woking, GU22 7QQ (Permanent and 18-month fixed-term contracts available)

Additional Information

This is a rolling advert therefore applications will be reviewed on a continuous basis.

These are full time positions, although we welcome applications from people who may wish to apply for part-time hours. We are offering a combination of fixed term contracts and permanent roles.

An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) Adults' Barred List checks will be required for this role.

It is also essential that you have a valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for the performance of the role. Unfortunately, applicants who do not meet this criteria will not be short-listed for interview.
