Our Client is a leading Carbon Fibre manufacturer working predominately in high-end, luxury Automotive and Formula 1. Having secured multiple new projects and as part of their continued expansion, it is our pleasure to now be partnering them in trying to secure an experienced Trim Shop Supervisor on a permanent basis. On offer to the successful candidate will be a negotiable, albeit based on relevant experience, basic salary, together with a full benefits package and bonus. Working to the highest standards, their Trim team are a critical part of managing and supporting the production areas and as the Trim Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, including cell leaders, and trimmers. Your job will be to ensure that the department is working to meet the customer needs, the correct quality standards of work and that the departmental resources are managed effectively. Key Operational Responsibilities: Responsible for overall execution and delivery of the production schedule for department as a whole, ensuring the schedule is completed and any issues escalated to the appropriate individuals. Responsible for ensuring the right level of resource/labour is in place, including weekend cover and the department can work at full capacity at all times. Working with scheduling, Production Manager, Project Managers/Engineers and HR to fulfil this. Managing the work ensuring all tasks are completed on time, correctly to company/customer policy/procedures in an efficient manner. Working with the team on a day to day basis ensuring any delays highlighted to scheduler/PM/PE and a plan is put in place with the team to catch up/cover off any delays, causing issues are rectified ASAP and a prevention plan/action is put in place. Responsible for ensuring equipment is well checked, maintained, and serviced according to the company policy, any issues to be rectified immediately and escalated as required.Quality and Standards: Responsible for ensuring all work carried out within department is completed by following set procedures as defined in work instructions and manuals. Responsible for ensuring all work is completed to the correct quality standard (both the customer and companies) at all times. Liaising with the Quality Manager to debrief quality performance, issues, failures of process, corrective actions and ensuring any actions are followed and resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.People Management: Responsible for the day-to-day management of cell leaders and trimmers ensuring they are aware of their individual shift requirements, the work expected of them and the company policies and procedures. Ensuring staff appraisals, reviews, return to work interviews, performance management, disciplinary s (with HR) and any other related employee duties are carried out when required and any issues dealt with then resolved in line with company policy and procedures. Training and development of all team members to allow them to meet their full potential and increase their skill set.Qualifications and Experience ideally required: Should ideally be qualified with a relevant Apprenticeship/Qualifications, although plenty of relevant experience will need be considered if you haven t this. Should be an experienced Trim Shop Supervisor/Lead with good Composite Trim experience, ideally within F1, Automotive or an Aerospace environment. You will have experience of managing a Trim team within a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail needed. Good communication and written skills required. Capable of listening to and following instructions. Capable of reaching set targets within given time frame. Process driven and quality focused.This position is available with immediate effect.
