An experienced registered nurse who is a role model and leader. Responsible for the operation of select nursing departments over a specific time period. Strong foundation of clinical knowledge and decision making skills. Requires strong organizational abilities and interpersonal skills that are critical to facilitate communications and collaboration. Sustains a culture of safety, quality, professionalism, and collaboration supporting the Middlesex Health mission and vision and the Department of Nursing vision and strategic plan.
A Registered Nurse who is a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Connecticut
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (new to the role after January 1, 2019)
Professional Nursing Certification in Leadership Certification within two years
2 years acute clinical experience
Exemplifies teamwork within the department and across disciplines
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to apply the nursing process in a safe and caring manner for relevant patient populations
