GBT is looking for a candidate with strong analytic and technical skills to support a wide range of business processes and analytic workloads.

Overview of Role:

In this data centric role, the BI Manager will oversee a high-profile Clients IT Strategy supporting their travel program. Responsibilities range from daily technical support to long term IT project planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Clients Travel team in the delivery of custom dashboards and automated workflows -- primarily using PowerBI, Power Automate and other tools used by Client and GBT.
  • Provide strong analytic, interpretive and problem-solving skills to research and provide insight to Client Travel team, to gather requirements, and provide program and project support.
  • Technical subject matter expert of systems, where appropriate, supporting the deployment of any new tools/features and troubleshooting defects in data pipelines, data repositories, reporting systems and dashboards.
  • Manage incoming work requests and define priority, scope and deliver in a timely manner.
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
  • 3+ years professional experience developing data driven business analytics
  • Full data stack expertise - data ingestion and management; data processing and analytics; data reporting and automation
  • Demonstrated expertise working with Business Intelligence tools in complex data environments
  • Power Platform: Power BI (PowerQuery/M and DAX), Power Automate, Power Apps
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data cubes and advanced functions)
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Storage (blobs and data lakes)
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks (plus knowledge of Python and Pyspark)
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong process management orientation with a proven ability to deliver results
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically to solve problems with demonstrated ability to translate business needs or requests into insightful analytics
  • Knowledge of corporate travel data concepts and patterns is a plus
  • Proven project management and time management skills and experience in managing several projects simultaneously
  • Proactive with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Fast learner with intellectual curiosity and a keen interest in data analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people skills and a track record of working collaboratively with a distributed team
