Autism Outreach Support Worker Job Ref: RAS/001 Job Type: Permanent Closing Date: 4th October 2022 Location: Ealing (post code UB6) with travel to various London boroughs of: Hackney, Islington, Enfield, Haringey, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest Salary: £13 per hour Contract hours: (19hrs, 21hrs, 30hrs and 38hrs) Documents: Support Worker Job Description Robin Specialist Autism service has been providing high-quality support and care services to individuals with autism in London and we are growing from strengths to strengths. We believe that when a person s differences are understood and their strengths are supported, they are less likely to present with complex behaviours as a way of coping with the world. Our objective is to help the people that we work with flourish into their full potential. A fantastic opportunity has come up in our outreach service. We are seeking to recruit 4 Outreach support workers. The focus of the role will be to provide support to adults with autism living with their families and supporting them to develop/maintain life skills and go out to be part of the community. The adults you will be supporting are based in different London boroughs and you will need to state your preference. The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, but some working weekend availability is required to ensure all team members have a work/life balance. About You: The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion about working within this sector and possess excellent customer service and people management skills due to this role needing on-going interaction with family members of the people we support. You will need to demonstrate how you meet our values and experience of working with behaviours that challenge. Due to the role involving driving some of the people we support, a car driver is essential.
